Our Vineyards
We have three vineyards, spread across the Waipara Valley. The region is characterised by long, dry summers and warm autumns. We get around 600mm rainfall per annum, most of it in the winter and spring.
Mount Brown Rd
The original vineyard, a small site of just 8 hectares in the foothills of Mount Brown. Our Pinot Noir vines are the oldest on the property, first planted in 2000 in mainly Dijon and Davis clones. The soil is stony and free draining and this is a very warm site.
Lime Loader
Our largest vineyard of 25 hectares where we have plantings of Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris along with small amounts of Tempranillo. It is also the site of our winery, built in 2013. The soil is well-drained sandy gravels and is on the floor of the Waipara Valley.
Weka Gravels
A 12 hectare site with vines grown on Weka Creek riverbed. The banks of the river provide shelter making it the hottest site in the Waipara Valley with very infertile and stony soils. This vineyard contains old vines of Merlot, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir.
