Aroma & Taste
Complex aromas of preserved cherries and strawberry jam. The palate is juicy and inviting, showing great balance between minerality, weight & texture. A dry finish (4g RS) makes for a crisp and refreshing wine.
Viticultural Practices
The wine is made from three grapes, all estate grown. Soils are free draining and stony, on a warm site in the Waipara Valley.
Wine Making Details
Just 140 dozen were made of this outstanding Rosé. It underwent a cool ferment after 24 hours on skins, resulting in a fruit forward wine with a pale salmon colour. The juice was then pressed directly to barrel (100% old french oak) where it underwent a wild ferment. Full malolactic fermentation was completed by early summer.
